NextGen Month Events
Come catch us at these special events all through June!
NextGen Month Kick-off Celebration - Wednesday, June 1, 7pm - 9pm
Join us in at scenic Little Brick Cafe to officially kick off NextGen Month. Enjoy small appetizers and drinks, networking opportunities, fun activities and the beautiful scenery of Edmonton's river valley. As part of the night's agenda, City Councillor Andrew Knack will be on hand to proclaim June as officially NextGen Month.
Edmonton Pride Festival Parade - Saturday, June 4, 11am - 1pm
NextGen will be walking in the annual Edmonton Pride Festival Parade. With this year's float, we are going all out with a retro beach theme. Be sure to say hi!
The annual Edmonton Pride Parade will take place in Old Strathcona. We will start at 108th Street & head down Whyte Avenue before turning left onto 104th Street towards Saskatchewan Drive. The PRIDE IN THE PARK celebration will then commence at End of Steel Park, where you'll enjoy all the events you've come to love about your Edmonton Pride Festival.
Pecha Kucha Night 25 - Thursday, June 9, 6:30pm - 10pm
Come for another great night of amazing speakers at Pecha Kucha Night 25 at Garneau Theatre. PKN 25 presentations will feature local ideas, projects and musings in the 20 slides at 20 seconds per slide.
Mercer Summer Super Party - Friday, June 17, 5:00pm - 10pm
Visit our stall and take part in family-friendly activities at the always fun Mercer Summer Party!
The Mercer Summer Super Party is a free, all-floors, close-the-street extravaganza! Join the Mercer Warehouse community as they open their doors and close the street for live music, special programming, social spaces, art installations, a dance party and more.
We need your help to keep the party going. Without volunteers the Super Party can't run and wouldn't be very super. So, if you have an enthusiastic attitude, three hours of time, and most importantly, want to be at the centre of one of the biggest parties of the year, join the volunteer team!
