Volunteer Events

Earn your volunteer hours for Edmonton CityJam by volunteering with us! Edmonton NextGen will be organizing a variety of volunteer events in support of local community organizations and neighbourhoods. Here are the events we currently have scheduled:

Edmonton NextGen Trash Mob at Accidental Beach- Saturday, September 16, from 11am–1pm

Join us in picking up litter at Edmonton's favourite new hotspot, Accidental Beach! Afterwards, we'll head on over to Whyte Ave's Malt and Mortar (also child-friendly!) for snacks. Make sure to dress for the weather!

Volunteer with NextGen at the Mustard Seed - September 20 and 23

Groups will volunteer to prepare, cook, and serve a meal at Edmonton Mustard Seed. The drop-in is an active and lively place and gives an opportunity for volunteers to sit down and meet new people. Available times are:

  • Wednesday, September 20, from 5pm–9pm
  • Saturday, September 23, from 3pm–7pm

Volunteer with NextGen at the Edmonton Food Bank - Saturday, September 30, from 9am–12pm

We will be volunteering as a group in the Edmonton Food Bank warehouse. Activities include sorting food donations, repacking food items, building generic boxes, building hampers for clients and more

Volunteer with NextGen at Edmonton Emergency Relief Services (EERSS) - Saturday, November 18, from 9:30am–12pm

Join us as we take over EERSS and help sort and organize donations for those in need of emergency resources.
