The Silver Skate Festival at Hawrelak Park kicked off this past Friday and will continue until the 21st. Silver Skate is a combination of arts and culture, recreation and sport, all rooted in Dutch winter traditions. The festival features a variety of free events and activities throughout the day and night. Enjoy horse drawn sleigh rides, face painting, skating, live music, snow sculptures, food trucks and a Heritage Village featuring pioneer and Aboriginal pieces that celebrates our city’s rich culture.
