Holiday MEAET, Presented by RBC

Edmonton’s NextGen and RBC want to support local charities, ending a challenging year by spreading the giving spirit and awarding a donation.

Edmonton’s NextGen is excited to announce our Holiday MEAET, presented by RBC - a virtual micro-funding contest to support local charities. We are inviting organizations to share their missions with a short video, which we will share on our social media channels.

6 charities have been invited to present to guests at a virtual event on Giving Tuesday (November 30, 2021). Event attendees will vote live and the winning charity will receive a $2,500 donation!

Tickets are $10 (or, in the spirit of MEAET, an extra $10 gets you a tasty bite to enjoy while you watch the show).

For the ticket + snack box option, you'll be invited to choose from these delicious offerings provided by A Cappella Catering Co.:
Charcuterie Box: Each box contains an artful arrangement of cured meats, gourmet cheeses, marinated vegetables, fresh and dried fruit, artisanal crackers and house made bread sticks.
Reception Box: Each box contains Ham & Swiss on Croissant, Reuben Sandwich, California Roll, Pesto Deviled Egg, Roast Beef Roll, Turkey Spinach Roll, Petit Four Duo, Fruit Kebab
Vegetarian Reception Box: Each box contains Egg Salad Mini, Veggie Roll, Bocconcini Tomato Skewer, California Roll, Pesto Deviled Egg, Salad Roll, Petit Four Duo, Fruit Kebab
Dessert Box: Each box contains a selection of handcrafted desserts: chocolate drizzled raffaello, fruit tart, chocolate mousse and mini fruit skewer.

Please note, pick up of your box at A Cappella (12105 120 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5L 4K4) will be required.

PREVIOUS MEAET EVENTS

At MEÆT, we come together to make the funding decisions ourselves, now. Applying to pitch at the event is intentionally simple to encourage broad participation and rapid impact. Attend the event to meet and eat: listen to the pitches and get to know the presenters and then vote on your favourite initiative, while enjoying a local snack. Along with community promotion for all initiatives, ticket proceeds or a sponsored prize will help the winning pitch succeed in the community.
